New appointments at Oriel

Oriel, the Cheltenham-based specialists in finance and business services for the recruitment sector and SME's, has made some new appointments following a major brand relaunch last year which has supported the company's continued growth.

Trevor Deacon has been appointed as Group Sales and Marketing Director, having been with Oriel since early 2007 as joint MD of Oriel Collections.  Trevor's new responsibilities give him overall control of marketing and sales for the entire Group, including the Support side of the business which focuses on providing back office services and financing to new start and established recruitment businesses.

Prior to joining Oriel, Trevor worked in the factoring and discounting market for 12 years, before moving into the Commercial and Consumer Collections market in 2000.  Commenting on his new role he said: "A recession is full of opportunities for a company like Oriel, and this new role enables me more effectively to pursue our broader growth strategy and lead the business on to greater things.  With today's stormy market backdrop and fierce competition, there's all to win and I relish the challenge."

Boosting sales resources in Oriel Support, Andre Teasdale has joined as Business Development Manager.  Andre has held a number of new business and account management roles including Hitachi Capital Invoice Finance, Hilti and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.  He views his new role at Oriel as "an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, forward thinking team."

Also new to Oriel Support is Martin Weeks who joins as Sales Manager, responsible for managing the new business sales team.  Previously Martin worked in a number of senior sales management roles providing HR, payroll and time and attendance solutions.  Martin adds: "It's great to work at a truly independent and flexible finance and business services provider.  I'm enjoying supporting Oriel's growth ambitions in the fast moving temporary and permanent recruitment market."
