Alliance Workforce Limited was set up in September 2002 and specialises in the supply of temporary contract labour solely to the decorating industry.
Operating throughout the UK, they supply time-served, tried and tested decorators, who are managed to rotate from contract to contract, to suit their clients' labour needs.
By using the same pool of labour and offering them continuous work, Alliance Workforce is able to gain greater commitment from their contractors, which in turn means they can offer their clients a more consistent quality of service. Some of their recent contracts have included: the London Coliseum, Queens Hotel in Leeds, the Bull Ring in Birmingham, Tiverton Hospital in Somerset, Vidal Sassoon in London and Morrison's supermarkets nationwide.
Not surprisingly with the construction sector so badly hit by the current economic difficulties, Alliance Workforce is among the many businesses closely aligned with the fortunes of that sector and is experiencing a fall in the volume of new business. One of the key challenges they face is to find both staff and suppliers of services who are reliable and actually carry out the specific tasks in the way they promise.
Like many businesses working with contractors, Alliance Workforce sought support from a specialist provider of contractor payment services. The business uses back office services provider, Oriel, to pay their subcontract decorators on a CIS basis. Simon Goddard is Director at Alliance Workforce and finds Oriel to be highly professional in all aspects of their business dealings with them: "Oriel offers and delivers the service that they promised at the start of our relationship. They also add value to my business by communicating efficiently and in the correct manner to our contractors."
